Alarm Update
Dear Park Place at Lytle Residents,
First, I want to THANK everyone for your continued patience during the issues with the alarm system. This has been very frustrating and confusing for everyone.
Normally a process for repair or solution does not take this long. It continues to be a trial-and-error process in which we have gotten all our vendors involved and are pressing hard for a solution.
The safety of the Park Place residents continues to be our NUMBER ONE priority.
Here is where we stand as of this moment:
- After 5 false alarms and numerous part replacements and repairs this week, we continued to have a false alarm last night.
- All vendors were on site today to work on solutions.
- After the 2ndfalse alarm, we trained the front desk staff to silence the alarm if it is false. They can determine if the alarm is false or real. IF IT IS FALSE, THEY CAN QUICKLY SILENCE IT. This does not stop the Fire Department from coming.
- Sheryl has contacted the two Fire Departments involved, Engine 14 and Ladder 3, to discuss our current situation with the Captains and or Lieutenants.
- As of 3 PM today, the issue has not been resolved. All vendors will be on-site at 6 AM tomorrow to hopefully solve the issue.
Moving forward:
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT IF THE ALARM SOUNDS AND STAYS ON FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD THAT YOU PLEASE FOLLOW PROPER FIRE PROTOCOL.
Sincerely,
For the Board of Directors,
Jay Hollmeyer
