Topic: A Story of Redemption
Damon Davis was arrested in 2007 and in 2008 pled guilty to possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug-trafficking crime. He was sentenced to 52 months in prison followed by four years of supervised release. While in prison he worked in the prison library, where he helped inmates with their appeals. He was released from prison in October of 2011. Upon release, he went to college while working an overnight shift. He was admitted to UC Law School in 2019 and permitted to take the bar exam in February of 2023. He is now a public defender with the Hamilton County Municipal Court. Come hear his story.
